Emulsifying wax is a necessary ingredient when it comes to making lotions and creams. Everyone has heard the term “water and oil don’t mix”.
The use of emulsifying wax will do just that – bind your oils and water together on a molecular level with the end result becoming lotion or cream.
Uses of Emulsifying Wax
Emulsifying Wax blend water and oil into a usable consistency, forming body lotions, facial creams, and other skin care products
Emulsifying Wax is used in the production of cosmetic products like lipsticks, mascaras, toners, liquid foundation, concealers, and other makeup products.
Emulsifying wax assists in improving the consistency and texture of final products without leaving a greasy film on the outer skin after application.
It acts as a mild stabilizer and thickener which ultimately depends on the amount added to your recipe.
