Benefits
Women’s Reproductive Support
Raspberry leaf is most commonly known for supporting women’s reproductive health. It has traditionally been used to help tone the uterus and promote menstrual balance. Many women use it to support cycle regularity and ease mild menstrual discomfort.
Pregnancy Support
Raspberry leaf tea has historically been used during the later stages of pregnancy to support uterine strength and preparation for labor. It is considered a nourishing tonic rather than a stimulant, although it should always be used under professional guidance during pregnancy.
Menstrual Comfort
Due to its mild astringent and toning properties, raspberry leaf may help reduce heavy menstrual flow and ease cramping in some individuals.
Nutritional Support
Raspberry leaf is mineral-rich and may support energy levels, particularly for those needing gentle iron support. It is often used as part of nourishing herbal infusions to promote overall vitality.
Digestive and Astringent Properties
The natural tannins in raspberry leaves provide mild astringent effects, which may help soothe mild digestive upset and support gut tone.
How to Use
Nourishing Herbal Infusion
To prepare a mineral-rich tea, add one to two teaspoons of cut raspberry leaves to one cup of hot water. Cover and steep for at least ten to fifteen minutes. For a stronger infusion, allow it to steep for several hours or overnight. Strain and drink one to two cups daily. This method is ideal when using raspberry leaf as a general tonic for reproductive or nutritional support.
Pregnancy Preparation Tea
When used during pregnancy, raspberry leaf is typically introduced in the second or third trimester under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. Prepare as a standard infusion and consume in moderate amounts as recommended. It is often blended with nettle or peppermint for additional nourishment and taste.
Safety
Raspberry Leaves are generally considered safe for most adults when used in moderate amounts. During pregnancy, it is recommended to consult a qualified healthcare provider before use, especially in the first trimester or if there is a history of high-risk pregnancy.
Because of its mild uterine-toning properties, individuals with hormone-sensitive conditions or specific medical concerns should seek professional advice before use. Mild digestive discomfort is rare but possible in sensitive individuals.
Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight to preserve freshness and potency. For herbal use only.

Firstly, I read about Rd raspberry leaf tea on mama natural website and to my surprise I stumbled on Hambelela organic, this happened to have it in stoc. Being pregnant I desperately needed it for labor preparation and low iron. I started taking it from 26 weeks yet in small quantities and increased the intake as the tummy grew. Before delivery I ran another Haemoglobin test and to my surprise I moved from 11.6 to 14. The truthful part is that it really helped shorten labour. I went to maternity at midnight and delivered at 5 am. RRL is indeed a herb for ladies. I also took it after delivery.
