Mineral oil

Once the oil has been purified to become mineral oil, it bears no resemblance to the original petroleum and is not a source of contaminants as often believed. It is also rich in skincare benefits and for this reason, it is a fantastic carrier oil to dilute essential oils.

• This versatile oil is considered one of the safest and most non-sensitizing moisturising agents known, due to its very simple chemical structure.
• In skincare, it is known to soothe, moisturise and replenish the skin. It is also light on the skin and is an excellent all-purpose carrier oil.
• White Mineral Oil can be applied directly on the skin; however, it is recognized that one of the best ways to utilise it is in a cream (or emulsion) base.
• White Mineral Oil is used as a blending base in a range of cosmetic, pharmaceutical and personal care items such as creams & lotions, baby oils and sunscreens.
• It is also used widely in other industries for use in such things as aerosols, insecticides, printing inks, die moulds, protective coatings, automotive lubricants, plastics, leather processing and the list goes on.

Uses

• Massage: Dilute a few drops of your favourite essential oil in White Mineral Carrier Oil to create a soothing and hydrating massage oil.
• Directly on the Skin: Many White Mineral Oil benefits can be received by using it directly on the skin.
• Diluting with Essential Oils: White Mineral Carrier Oil makes a great base for diluting essential oils. In saying this, it goes great in a lot of skincare formulations such as skin serums and moisturisers.
• Hair Mask: You can also apply this carrier oil to the scalp to create a nourishing hair mask.

Suggested Use

• It is recommended to be used at a concentration of 1 to 75%
• It is soluble in oil but is insoluble in water.

HOW TO USE-

• Prepare the oil and water phase of your formulation separately.
• Add our light liquid paraffin to the hot oil phase in the recommended concentration.
• Add active ingredients. Other natural and essential oils can also be added at this stage according to the usage.
• Blend the heated oil and water phase until a homogenous mixture is obtained.

White Mineral Oil is not to be taken internally. This exposure could be through cosmetic products. food, or topical medications. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.
