Castile Soap Base

Description: Liquid soap processed from 100% pure natural coconut oil which produces the most copious lather of all the animal and vegetable oil soaps. 12% of natural glycerin found in the oil is retained.

Appearance: Color gold, clear liquid, bland odor. Starting ingredients include coconut oil, water and lye (potassium hydroxide).

Benefits:
Liquid soap with great emollient and moisturizing qualities
Can be combined with surfactants to give them a moisturizing feel and greater foaming properties
This base can be thickened with a salt water solution. Mix plain table salt and warm distilled water. Add a few drops and mix until you get a consistency you like.
Use: Use as is or mix with surfactants to create different lather and feel. External use only.
Applications: Body washes, shampoos, cleansing lotions, various personal care cleansing products.

Homemade Natural Shampoo – The castile soap gently washes away dirt without stripping the scalp and the coconut milk is nourishing to the hair and helps prevent breakage and hair loss.

Homemade Natural Body Wash – Has soothing and antibacterial properties.

Foaming Face Wash
Shaving– lather a few drops of liquid castile soap and rub all over your legs. Then just shave!

Mopping – Mix 2 tablespoons of liquid castile soap and 1 gallon of hot water in a bucket to mop your floor.

Hand-Washing Dishes

Wash floors. Add a squirt to a bucketful of water.
Use in a carpet washing machine.
Wash the car. Add a squirt to a bucket of water.
Wash the dog.
